OUR STORY
4th Generation Family-Owned & Operated
This farm has been in the Suttle Family for four generations. In 2023, my husband and I started our Scottish Highland cattle business and haven't looked back! We purchased our first three cows in January of 2023, and have continued to add to our fold every year.

ABOUT SUTTLE FARMS
Our 100 acre family farm is located in Portland, Tennessee. This farm has been home to many horses, Angus cows, and Holstein cows - but in 2023, we added our first ever Scottish Highland cows to the farm!

This farm is owned by my father-in-law, so if you ever stop by, you'll more than likely see him out and about. I call this our family "compound" because most of Jake's immediate family lives on the property with us. It's definitely a family effort to keep everything running smoothly. It's nice to have help that is just a phone call away when the cows get out!

We cannot thank God enough for this life and family he has blessed us with.

WHY SCOTTISH HIGHLANDS?
When we initially were researching Scottish Highlands, we reached out to several farms and asked about their experience with this breed. We had zero experience of our own, so we wanted to learn as much as possible about them before bringing them home to the farm. A few of the reasons why we love this breed is due to their demeanor, their great mothering and calving skills, and most importantly, how cute they are! We knew we made the right decision with choosing this breed very shortly after we brought them home.
